ČEZ Group is one of the most important business groups in the Czech Republic, operating in Western and Central Europe. ČEZ Group is one of the largest energy companies in Europe, with more than 3.5 million customers and approximately 28,000 employees. Over the period of its existence, it has paid out CZK 343 billion in dividends to its shareholders. This includes more than CZK 230 billion to the Czech state and tens of billions more in dividend withholding tax.

For ČEZ Group, ecology and sustainable business are a top priority. We have therefore set our goals within the framework of Vision 2030 - Clean Energy for Tomorrow. ČEZ Group has made a firm commitment to significantly reduce the use of coal in power plants and to completely eliminate the use of coal in its thermal power plants by 2030. This will significantly contribute to the improvement of the environment not only in the Ústí nad Labem Region, but also in the whole Czech Republic. ČEZ Group wants to achieve full climate neutrality by 2040.
ČEZ Group companies have traditionally been among the most sought-after Czech employers and regularly win in surveys of top employers of the year.
For more than 20 years, ČEZ has been operating the ČEZ Foundation, one of the largest corporate foundations in the Czech Republic, which has supported more than 13,000 projects since its inception.
In addition to ČEZ employees, Severočeské doly, the largest company of its kind in the Czech Republic, is also in charge of preparing the lithium production project. It is wholly owned by ČEZ, a.s. and is located in Chomutov in the Ústí nad Labem Region. It is one of the most important regional employers. In addition to mineral extraction, it also focuses on the ecological restoration of the landscape after mining. Severočeské doly has already recultivated more than 6,000 hectares of former mines and spoil heaps, which now contain, for example, fields, forests, wetlands and lakes.

Geomet, a company majority owned by Severočeský doly, is exploring the deposit directly in Cínovec. Geomet was founded in 2007 by four Czech geologists with many years of experience in the field of deposit geology and geological exploration. Geomet has identified the former Cínovec deposit as a project that could provide raw materials for the Czech and European industry of the future / 3rd millennium.
The minority shareholder of Geomet is European Metal Holdings, a company with know-how and expertise in lithium exploration and processing research.
